Box culverts are rectangular four-sided concrete structures used in managing and storing storm water. They can also be used where natural water sources need to circumvent an obstruction, such as a roadway that is built over a stream. They have a wide variety of applications including in underpasses, service tunnels, subways, and bridges.
Monolithic, split, and watertight styles are available. Precast box culverts are very strong and can be made in a variety of sizes to fit your needs.
This project used a precast three sided bridge with footings to span across a stream. Bridge had attached curbs and bolt on wing walls. Bridge set time took less than a day.
